Children & Families Int’l
Children & Families International was established to help tackle outdated legislation surrounding child custody in Israel. The purpose of the project is to log details of violations, bring media attention to injustices committed in the name of the family courts, and to support struggling families affected by corruption and violations of civil and human rights.
The Knesset previously confirmed the removal of 20,000 children a year from their homes, with a former CEO admitting that 50-80% are needlessly taken to fill beds. He was ultimately dismissed for whistle-blowing.
The aim of CFI is to continue researching, collecting data, publicizing information and lobbying the government to reform their domestic legal system.
