Jewish Family Services offers social services to the Olim community in Israel

Jewish Family Services (JFS) provides a wide range of vital social services to enhance and strengthen the lives of members of the Jewish community. These services include: community outreach and consultation, counselling, disability services, hospice services and resettlement services. JFS has a presence in almost every major Jewish community worldwide but not in Israel itself. This is particularly problematic for the Anglo American and French Olim communities who are often unaware of the social services available to them and/or has trouble accessing those services due to language or other barriers. By way of example the official Ministry of Absorption website is available only in Hebrew, despite it being used exclusively by new immigrants, most of whom do not speak Hebrew.
